We believe that tea is not only a beverage, but a way of life. Tea is not only our guide but part of our intrinsic past and future. It inspires, comforts, relaxes and connects us to earth. Its plethora of colors, fragrances, tastes and energies captivate our senses and mind.

Herbal teas have been consumed for thousands of years by indigenous cultures around the world. They heal us, enlighten us, and ground us.

No other beverage has transversed over cultural borders and language barriers as tea has. Traditional cultivation and processing techniques of tea have endured for generations.

The mass marketing of tea has led to lesser quality, mediocre tea. Tea bags have flooded the market, and people have forgotten the art of using tisanes (herbal teas) for medicinal and healing purposes.

We believe that by expanding the awareness of quality tea, and reviving rare herbal tisanes, we can challenge the status quo that is modern tea, while impacting the environment in the least ways as possible.

Our Founder

Prior to establishing Narien, Billy Shall's fascination of tea quickly transformed into a passion that would later emerge as Narien. Today, Billy sources tea from gardens around the world, manages Narien's operations, and writes on his internet business blog.
